A number of ubiquitous devices with a range of capabilities can be deployed with the Emue solution:
Payment Card
A fully ISO 7810 compliant card with embedded micro-processor, 12-button keypad, 8-digit alphanumeric display and battery. The card may be deployed as an independent identity protection card or a multi-function credit/debit/ATM card, subject to various conditions of use. The Emue card is also available with RFID or swipe card proximity access, to enable the convergence of logical and physical access devices into a single card for use in gaining both physical entry and logical access to a corporation's VPN.
iPhone
Emue has produced the first Authentication Application for the Apple iPhone. The application is available for downloading from the Apple iStore The rich iPhone interface provides a perfect platform for all Emue Authentication capabilities. Banks who implement the Emue solution can direct their customers to download the Emue application from the iStore and activate through codes provided by mail or through an existing online banking service.
Mobile Phone (Blackberry/Smartphone/J2ME)
With consumer choice representing a significant driver to adoption, the suite of Emue capabilities can be deployed to a mobile phone as a Java or Windows application. All operations and features are as per the card the graphical user interface enables a higher degree of intuitive help. Unlike other mobile based authentication products, Emue’s phone-embedded device does not rely on network communication or SIM based encryption to perform authentication or transaction signing procedures.
Clamshell
This device has been designed predominantly developed for use as an economical alternative to the Emue card for secure remote access to corporate systems. The clamshell device is slightly thicker (approx. 2mm) that a credit card device and does not have a magnetic stripe for POS use. In addition, the clamshell comes with embedded physical proximity capabilities to again enable the convergence of both logical and physical access into a single device.
Of 400 consumers surveyed by TNS Global, 45% said they’d open a new account to get an EMUE Card and 65% would recommend it to their family and friends. To find out more about the EMUE card watch the following video:
