Mehrdad Baghai

Mehrdad Baghai – Executive Chairman

Mehrdad is Managing Director of Alchemy Growth Partners. He is co-author of the international best-seller The Alchemy of Growth and the recently published sequel The Granularity of Growth. He has spent the last fifteen years leading or advising major growth programs and building new businesses. Prior to founding Alchemy Growth Partners, Mehrdad was an Executive Director at the CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, with overarching responsibility for growth and a partner in the Sydney and Toronto offices of McKinsey and Company.

Gerhard Vorster

Gerhard Vorster – Non-Executive Director

Gerhard Vorster is the Managing Partner, Consulting, Deloitte in Australia and has been with Deloitte for 19 years. He is a qualified engineer and holds an MBA. He is an accomplished and seasoned senior executive with proven success in the execution of turnarounds and repositioning in the Services Industry, as well as extensive strategy and operational consulting to senior executives in the Manufacturing Industry. He has strong communication skills and is perceived, respected and accepted as a leader by people. Gerhard is committed to client orientation and has an uncompromising dedication to superior results.

Keith Skinner

Keith Skinner – Non-Executive Director

Keith is the Chief Operating Officer of The Australian Deloitte firm and has been with the firm for 33 years in Australia and the United Kingdom. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Keith’s special expertise was in the restructuring and turnaround of large complex organisations including financial restructuring and operational turnarounds. The following is a selected list of clients Keith has served: Australian and New Zealand Banking Group, National Australia Bank, ABN Amro, Burns Philip Limited, Smorgan Consolidated Industries Ltd. Keith has completed a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Institute Chartered Accountants in Australia and also at the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia. Keith is a registered Company Auditor and Liquidation.

Richard Jacka

Richard Jacka – Non-Executive Director

Richard has spent over 15 years in business and is currently Chief Financial Officer at the Environment Protection Authority. His career started with the Australian Submarine Corporation, later became Financial Controller for an Ad Agency, and ended up in London where he worked for Deutsche Bank in their Global Risk reporting department. On returning to Australia Richard joined Bankers Trust as Unit Pricing Accountant. From 1999 until 2005, Richard was a director and General Manager of technology company Chimo before it was acquired by Deloitte. He was a co-finalist in the 2004 “Entrepreneur of the Year” awards. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy from the Uni of South Australia and is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.

Jason Bender

Jason Bender, Chief Technology Officer

Jason, an Industrial Designer, founded Chimo in 1997, a design and technology consultancy and grew the business rapidly. Chimo made the Business Review Weekly Fast 100 and Deloitte Tech Fast 50 two years running before it was acquired by Deloitte in June 2005. Jason's technical experience covers government transaction systems, payment gateways, authentication solutions, media management systems and customer friendly web sites along the way. He co-invented the technology that became the patented "Mutual Authentication" that Emue is based upon.
