Identity Protection (IDP)

While many solutions claim to mitigate identity theft and protect the identities of the consumer, it is a fact that no single solution can prevent the successful theft of an identity, often achieved by means beyond which a digital solution or device can help.

Such methods, amongst many, include simple theft of mail and a practice known as ‘dumpster diving’.  These are criminal actions that no ‘solution’ can prevent.

Therefore, recognizing that no single solution can mitigate all forms of identity theft, Emue has developed an enterprise fee generating mechanism to thwart the exploitation of a successfully stolen identity.

The result is an identity protection service which negates the means by which a stolen identity can be successfully used for fraudulent gain.

Requiring no sensitive or personal details to be stored, the IDP service is offered to consumers who wish to extend the range of their own identity protection strategy in order to prevent fraudsters from using their personal details to gain credit against their name.

The IDP solution is the final product in the Emue suite of capabilities as it recognizes that no solution will ever prevent the theft of an identity, given the multiple means by which a person’s identity can be stolen.  However, it is possible to prevent the exploitation of a successfully stolen identity for fraudulent financial gain.

Therefore, where Emue cannot mitigate identity theft altogether, it provides a capability by which to prevent anything being gained from its occurrence, thus changing the dynamics of the perceived benefit and negating the purpose of actually bothering to attempt such a theft in the first place.
